Favorite Christmas Recipes - Homemade Ginger Snaps

During the holiday season RJ is sharing some of his favorite recipes. Remember to use your Tip Tough when cooking so you can stay safe in the kitchen.

Preheat oven 350 degrees. Yields 4 to 5 dozen cookies

3/4 cup shortening

1 cup sugar

1/4 cup molasses

1 egg

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon cloves

1-1/2 teaspoon ginger

2 teaspoons baking soda

Cream shortening and sugar in large bowl.Add molasses and egg, beat well. Add dry ingredients. Dip small balls in sugar and flatten with a fork on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 7 to 10 minutes.
