Favorite Christmas Recipes - Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark

During the holiday season RJ will share some of his favorite recipes! This one has folks raving and begging for the recipe so here is the family secret.

2 sticks of butter

1 cup of dark brown sugar

1 bag of mini pretzels

1 12 oz bag of chocolate chips

sea salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. On a cookie sheet with sides, line with parchment or foil and cover with a layer of pretzels (like the picture). Melt butter and as it begins to bubble, stir in the brown sugar. Stir constantly until the ingredients come together. Do not let it boil and as soon as it comes together take it off the heat and pour evenly over the pretzels. Bake for 5 minutes, spread the chocolate chips over the pretzels and bake for an additional 45 seconds - NO MORE. Use a spatula to evenly spread the chocolate. Sprinkle with sea salt and put it in the fridge for one hour. As you peel the foil/parchment off it will break the bark into pieces.
